Five things, and that is the list.

A child never has an account

The account is an adult’s — a parent or a clinician. A child is a row underneath it, with no login of their own. The grown-up has to be the one agreeing to this, which is what COPPA is about.

Everything stored about a child

• The display name, as an adult typed it. A first name or a nickname is fine.
• An age band — 2 to 3, or 4 and over. Not a birth date.
• A rewards record: which games have been played and on which dates.
• A progress record: what the app is working on, so the plan can move on.
• A timestamp for each of those, which is what decides which device’s copy wins.

That is the entire list. There is no sixth item.

What is never stored

• The photo. Some games put a child’s face on a cartoon body. It is taken with an adult present, cropped on the device, and stays there — a new phone gets the children back with no pictures, and an adult retakes them.
• Audio. None, anywhere. There is nowhere for a recording of your child to go.
• Anything sent to an ad platform. No child’s name, age, ability or progress is ever in an advertising payload.

What a child sees

No ads. No purchases. No links out. No chat. No leaderboard putting one child’s speech beside another’s. No score, no stars, no streak — the list of words nobody may say is published.

Deleting it

One action in the account deletes the account, every child under it and everything above. Or email privacy@sayyay.app and we will do it and tell you when it is done.

The consenting adult still has to be the parent or guardian. Email us before rolling this out to a caseload and we will put the right paperwork in front of you.
