A sample of the printable pack.
Say Yay, away from the screen.
3 sheets out of the pack, so you can see what the rest of them are. Every word, shape and counting scene in here is the same one the games use.
How to use it
- Print on any plain paper. Everything is laid out for A4 and US Letter, and nothing runs off an edge.
- One sheet at a time. Five minutes with one sheet beats twenty with six.
- Say the word yourself first, warmly, and leave a gap. The gap is the invitation.
- Whatever comes back, take it and carry on. Nothing on these sheets needs to be said correctly for the sheet to have worked.
What is in it
| 2 | Word cards | Cut them out and keep a few in a pocket. |
| 3 | Trace sheets | A finger first, then a pencil, saying the word. |
| 4 | Counting pages | Count out loud, then trace the number word. |
Say Yay is a practice companion. It is meant to sit alongside work with a qualified speech-language pathologist. It does not diagnose, and nothing in this pack measures anything. There is no right speed and no order you have to keep to: use the sheets your child likes, skip the ones they do not, and follow them.
